If you’ve ever dreamed of Gouveia Vineyards engagement photos, you’re in the right place. Surrounded by rolling hills and golden light, Gouveia Vineyards in Wallingford, Connecticut is one of my favorite spots for photographing families and couples.
Miranda and Mitch wanted their engagement session to feel organic, natural, and full of life, and wow, we are obsessed with the results.

The weather on the day of their engagement session was warm, sunny, and bathed in the most beautiful golden hour glow. As we walked through each spot on the property, everything about the evening felt peaceful. The sunlight truly wrapped around Mitch and Miranda so smoothly, creating that dreamy, sunkissed look every photographer dreams of for their sessions!

Miranda and Mitch were complete naturals in front of the camera. From quiet moments among the trees to laughing together in the open fields, their connection was so genuine and easy to photograph. Sessions like these are my favorite!
Because the vineyard is on a hill, the sun dips behind the hill before actual sunset time. Because of this, I recommend starting any type of hour-long session here 1.5 hours before sunset to get the best light.

What made the session even more special was their adorable dog, Gus, who joined us for part of the shoot! He brought such personality and fun energy to the session wagging his tail and clearly loving every minute of it. I always encourage couples to include their pets when possible because it makes the photos feel that much more personal and true to who they are, and is always the perfect personal touch for save-the-dates!

One of my favorite parts about photographing Gouveia Vineyards engagement photos is how versatile the landscape is. The vineyard has this perfect mix of elegance and rustic charm. There are rows of grapevines that glow in the evening light, open fields with tall grass and greenery, and rolling hills in the background that feel straight out of a countryside painting. As the sun dipped lower, we captured the most magical golden tones across the hills, with Miranda and Mitch framed by the soft, glowy light of sunset.
The vineyard is also an amazing location for couples who want that “just us in nature” feeling without having to travel far. Nestled right in Wallingford, CT, Gouveia offers that peaceful escape while still being close to everything. Whether you’re sipping a glass of wine at the end of your session or strolling through the vines hand-in-hand, there’s something about this spot that just radiates romance.

Miranda and Mitch’s Gouveia Vineyards engagement photos perfectly reflect what I love most about photographing engagement sessions and couples: the classic, beautiful photos that are timeless and will be heartwarming to look back on for years to come.
If you’re newly engaged and searching for a location that feels organic, timeless, and filled with light, Gouveia Vineyards is an incredible choice. Between the views, the atmosphere, and that signature Connecticut sunset, it’s truly one of the best engagement photo spots in the state. Not to mention, you can end the session with a drink or charcuterie board overlooking the beautiful view!

Let’s capture your love story surrounded by golden light, rolling hills, and maybe even a furry friend or two. Inquire now to schedule your engagement or family session at Gouveia!

Katie and Sangjoon’s Delamar Greenwich Wedding was unforgettable. Yes, they had a stunning reception design (the bride’s vision come true!) and a beautiful June day. But, more importantly, they had love and genuine care for one another and every single person that showed up for them. That’s something that can’t be fabricated on any day. […]
