Driving to this engagement session, it was absolutely pouring! I’ll be honest, I was feeling pretty stressed, wondering if the clouds would refuse to clear. When you’re planning Connecticut engagement photos, weather is always the wild card. But Jacquie and Thomas were calm and optimistic the entire time. They had this feeling that everything would work out perfectly, and as soon as we arrived, they were proven right.

Almost like magic, the rain stopped just in time and the sun broke through the clouds, giving us the most stunning glow. If you’ve ever looked through Connecticut engagement photography galleries, you know that golden light right after a storm is unbeatable — it adds a dreamy, romantic atmosphere that you simply can’t recreate. The soft sunlight made Jacquie and Thomas’s session feel warm, joyful, and relaxed, capturing exactly what makes engagement photos so special.

One of the best parts of photographing couples in Connecticut is how quickly the scenery transforms with a shift in weather. What started out as a gloomy day turned into one of the most breathtaking evenings.
Their session is the perfect reminder that sometimes the most beautiful Connecticut engagement photos come right after a storm, normally met with a stunning sunset!

Jacquie and Thomas’s connection came through so naturally, and the backdrop of the glowing sky only amplified their beauty. This is why I always encourage couples not to worry too much about if they’ve been professionally photographed before.
No matter the couple, I work my best to connect with them so they feel comfortable posing and can get the best photos out of it. Their gallery is now filled with warm, golden, and genuine moments that truly reflect who they are as a couple.

If you’re planning your own Connecticut engagement photos, take this as a sign: don’t stress too much about the forecast. The light, the love, and the moment will always find a way to shine through.
Katie and Sangjoon’s Delamar Greenwich Wedding was unforgettable. Yes, they had a stunning reception design (the bride’s vision come true!) and a beautiful June day.
