Through years of searching and exploring, I have found some fantastic hidden gems. Here is a list of the best spots for engagement photos in Connecticut!


Harkness Memorial State Park

Waterford, Connecticut

Harkness is one of my favorite locations because you have the best backdrops for any photoshoot – a mansion, beautiful gardens, pathways, and even a beachfront! It allows you to capture a plethora of different images all in one spot.


Gouveia Vineyards

Wallingford, Connecticut

Just as anticipated, this vineyard is…well…beautiful! The views from the parking lot are honestly astonishing, and there is lots of land to explore.


Silver Sands State Park

Milford, Connecticut

A fan favorite, beaches are an iconic place to take photos. Luckily, Silver Sands State Park is a beautiful location for taking pictures! If you have time, stop in Downtown Milford near the train station to capture even more photos at the beautiful mini waterfall and bridge.

Elizabeth park is the perfect mix of garden party, romantic, fantasy, and lovely. Whether you visit Elizabeth Park during full bloom or not for your engagement shoot, you’re in for a treat. At the right time, this park has the perfect mix of greenery and florals that you need in your next shoot. In the off season, the arches, staircases, and random spots are the absolute perfect backdrop for any photoshoot.


Hartford City Hall

Hartford, Connecticut

Hartford City Hall is known as an iconic spots for architectural engagement portraits. Known for the incredible leading lines and intricate details, Hartford City Hall is the perfect place to get photos taken. While a permit is required to photograph here, it is well worth the experience!
