There is something incredibly special about documenting the season before everything changes. A maternity session isn’t just about celebrating a growing baby—it’s about preserving the quiet moments between two people as they prepare to become parents.

Lindsey and Rich’s Maternity Photoshoot CT took place on a warm summer evening at one of Connecticut’s beautiful beaches. With soft golden light, gentle ocean breezes, and the peaceful shoreline as our backdrop, every moment felt effortless and full of anticipation.
Connecticut offers some of the most beautiful locations for maternity portraits, especially during golden hour. The combination of sandy beaches, coastal grasses, and warm summer sunsets creates a timeless setting that allows your connection to take center stage.
For Lindsey and Rich, we kept the session relaxed and natural. They laughed together, soaked in the evening light, and spent time simply enjoying this exciting chapter before welcoming their little one.
One of my favorite details was Lindsey’s beautiful white two-piece maternity outfit. It photographed beautifully against the soft beach tones while highlighting her growing baby bump in such an elegant way.

Some of the most meaningful images from a Maternity Photoshoot CT are often the simplest ones.
A close-up of both parents’ hands resting on their baby’s bump tells such a powerful story. Wedding rings, gentle touches, and tiny gestures become treasured memories years down the road. These photographs serve as beautiful reminders of the excitement, love, and anticipation that filled this season of life.
I always make sure to capture a mix of:
The result is a gallery that feels both emotional and timeless.
The ideal time for a Maternity Photoshoot CT is typically between 28 and 34 weeks of pregnancy.
During this window, your baby bump is beautifully visible while you’re often still comfortable enough to enjoy walking around during your session. Evening sessions around sunset provide the most flattering light and help create the soft, dreamy look you see throughout Lindsey and Rich’s gallery.

One of the reasons I love photographing maternity sessions along the Connecticut shoreline is the incredible variety in one location. Within a short walk, we can photograph:
These different backdrops create a gallery with plenty of variety while maintaining a cohesive, light, and airy feel.

Whether you envision a peaceful beach session, a scenic park, or another meaningful Connecticut location, maternity photos are a wonderful way to celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime season before your family grows.
If you’re expecting and looking to book your own Maternity Photoshoot CT, I’d love to help create images that feel natural, joyful, and full of genuine connection. Together we’ll choose the perfect location, plan outfits that photograph beautifully, and create memories you’ll treasure long after your little one arrives.
