Sydney first reached out just days after getting engaged, and you could feel the excitement in every word of her message. Their proposal had been intimate and private, so capturing this season of their lives in a meaningful way felt especially important. From the moment she reached out, I was already so excited to capture this session for them!
We chose Harkness Memorial State Park in Connecticut for their engagement session, and it could not have been a more perfect backdrop. It had rained the day before, and we were keeping a close eye on the forecast, but everything held off just in time for us.
One of the reasons I love Harkness Memorial State Park for engagement photos is because there is so much to choose from. There is the beautiful Eolia Mansion, stunning gardens, and the beautiful beach just a few steps away. There are so many options that we can utilize within an hour-long session!
Sydney and Dylan were amazing to work with. They were laughing, exploring, and just enjoying being together, which always makes for the most genuine images. Sydney chose an outfit change for their session. She started with a beautiful white dress and switched into a floral strapless one. Both complimented their photos amazingly!
Engagement photos are a physical reminder of this beautiful period of time in your life. I believe they are so important that they are included as a standard in each of my wedding packages for clients! These are truly photos you will look back on and enjoy forever.
