With its historic mansion, waterfront views, manicured gardens, and timeless architecture, this venue feels like something straight out of a storybook. And for Kayla and Shannon’s engagement session, it provided the dreamiest backdrop imaginable.









From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for something special. The gardens were in full bloom, the grounds were lush and vibrant, and the evening light couldn’t have been more perfect. As the sun began to set, a soft golden glow covered the property, creating the most romantic atmosphere for their portraits.
One thing to know about planning a Bristol, RI engagement session at Blithewold is that there is a photography fee required to use the grounds. While it is an investment, it’s absolutely worth it for couples who want elegant, timeless images in a location that offers so much variety. Within a short walk, we were able to photograph in front of the stunning mansion, along the beautiful stone terraces, and among the blooming gardens that make Blithewold so iconic.









What made this session even more special was simply spending time with Kayla and Shannon. They were so natural together, constantly laughing, holding hands, and soaking in this exciting season of life. Their connection made every photo feel effortless, and the peaceful setting allowed us to slow down and create images that truly reflected who they are as a couple.
The combination of a perfect spring evening, gorgeous scenery, and two people completely in love made this one of those sessions that photographers dream about.
