Branding photos are one of the most powerful ways that business owners can show the personality behind their work. I had the joy of photographing branding photos for calligrapher and stationery artist Carissa Marie Calligraphy, and the session perfectly captured the elevated yet approachable feel of her brand.
We photographed the session at the beautiful bal studios, and it was the perfect fit for a creative branding shoot.

For Carissa’s branding photos, the goal was to showcase her work as both elevated and approachable. As a calligrapher, stationery designer, and engraver, personal connection and fine art are both incredibly important for her brand.
Carissa specializes in:
Her work is detailed, intentional, and refined, so we wanted her branding photos to reflect that same feeling.

To keep her photos cohesive, we leaned into green and brown tones that complimented both her outfits and the studio backdrops. These earthy colors felt elegant while still remaining warm and inviting—perfect for a wedding stationery brand.
We incorporated a mix of:
Some of my favorite photos from the session were the “in-action” moments.
Instead of only photographing finished work, we also documented parts of Carissa’s creative process. This included:
These types of photos help potential clients see the care and artistry behind the work, which builds trust and connection with the brand.

Professional photos help artists and business owners communicate their style, professionalism, and personality online. For creatives like calligraphers and stationery designers, showing both the finished work and the process behind it can make a huge difference in how potential clients connect with the brand.
Sessions like this one create imagery that can be used across:
And when your photos reflect the true feeling of your business, they become a powerful storytelling tool.

If you’re a creative entrepreneur looking to elevate your brand presence, intentional photos are a great place to start. Thoughtful styling, the right location, and imagery that captures both your work and your process can help communicate the value of what you do. Inquire now to book your own photos!
