Spring is such a beautiful time to be on the campus of Quinnipiac University—and Elizabeth’s senior portrait session was nothing short of stunning!
Elizabeth, a graduating senior in the Class of 2025, brought such warmth and grace to her session. From the moment she stepped in front of the camera in her classic white dress and soft waves, I could tell we were about to create something truly special. Capturing seniors like Elizabeth, at such a meaningful time in their lives, is one of the greatest privileges of this job.
If you’re a Quinnipiac senior (or graduating from another university in Connecticut, Rhode Island, or Massachusetts), here are a few quick tips for getting the most out of your spring session:
🌷 Schedule early – Late April and early May are ideal for flowers and golden light. Don’t schedule your session the week of graduation as long lines form at the most popular photo spots!
📸 Wear something that makes you feel confident – Elizabeth’s classic white dress was perfect!
🎓 Bring your cap & gown – We’ll capture both formal and candid moments. And don’t forget comfortable shoes and a jacket to wear as we travel from spot to spot!
🌸 Have fun with it – This is your time to celebrate everything you’ve accomplished.

If you’ve ever been to a wedding at Glen Manor House, you know that it is an absolute dream. I have wanted to shoot here for years, so attending this styled shoot was such a dream come true! Located in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, Glen Manor House feels like something out of a European fairytale. Everywhere […]
I had such a sweet morning capturing E & C’s engagement session at Boston Public Garden. These two are so easygoing and full of laughter. It made photographing them feel effortless. The weather kept us on our toes — from rainy day reschedules to the on-again, off-again forecast. It really felt like the odds weren’t […]
There are few reasons that I will get out of bed earlier than 6 o’clock in the morning. A morning engagement session at Boston Public Garden is definitely one of them. C and N wanted their engagement session to feel quintessentially Boston, so we landed on two of the most iconic spots in the city: […]
If you’re dreaming of a wedding that feels like it’s set in the rolling hills of Tuscany, a grand château in France, or an English garden estate, these New England and tri-state venues deliver all the European charm without a passport. From ivy-covered manors to coastal stone estates, each of these venues offers something different […]
I thought I had found all of the perfect, european-inspired, garden party wedding venues in Connecticut. I was wrong. Meet Gwyn Careg Inn. Nestled among lush formal gardens, meandering pathways, open fields, and a serene pond, this venue feels like it was plucked straight from the pages of a European fairytale. The soft pastel florals, […]

When we scheduled Katie’s graduation photo session at Sacred Heart University, we were crossing our fingers for golden hour sunshine. But instead, the forecast gave us rain—and lots of it. Rather than rescheduling, Katie decided to go for it, and I’m so glad she did. Because what we got was magic. Rainy day sessions always […]
As an alumna of Quinnipiac University, having the opportunity to go back and photograph graduates there is always my favorite. Visiting all the best spots – the library (aka Arnie), the floral-filled walkway by CCE, the School of Business tunnel, the sign for an iconic champagne spray. Angela showed up ready to conquer the session […]
Having a solid customer relationship management (CRM) platform is vital for any business to thrive—and wedding photography is no exception. I chose Sprout Studio as my CRM and I truly believe it is one of the best CRMs for wedding photographers out there! What is a CRM and why do photographers need one? Having a […]
K & M wanted a coastal, romantic location for their New Haven engagement session. When they mentioned loving Lighthouse Point Park, I knew it was going to be the perfect backdrop for their photos. The day couldn’t have been more perfect – sunny, blue skies, and 50º weather after a rainy week. They were naturals […]
