If you’re dreaming of senior portraits that are timeless, vibrant, and full of summer magic — Elizabeth Park Rose Garden is a little slice of heaven. Nestled in West Hartford, Connecticut, this historic garden comes to life in June and July with rows upon rows of blooming roses, ivy-covered arches, and golden evening light that wraps everything in the softest glow. It’s one of my favorite places for senior sessions — and once you scroll through this session, you’ll see why.
What makes this spot stand out is how versatile it is. You can go classic and elegant among the roses, playful by the arches, or get creative in the tucked-away greenery around the edges. There’s something inspiring about the quiet beauty of it all — it lets personalities really shine. Plus, there is truly no shortage of dreamy greenery spots to shoot, which means we can get a full gallery of variety without needing to move locations. Even when the roses aren’t fully in bloom, Elizabeth Park Garden is the perfect spot for a senior portrait session in Connecticut.
